Katherine and Mark will be dancing the Samba and the Quickstep this week. I think Katherine will excel at both dances.

Hi Everyone

This week Katherine and Mark will be working even harder than ever, if that's possible!

They will be doing 2 dances:-

Viennese Waltz

Cha-Cha (Trio Dance)

For the Trio Dance they had to choose a professional, who had be eliminated, to dance with them. Katherine and Mark have choosen Tristan MacManus.

It is also a double elimination week! The 2 couples with the lowest scores will be eliminated. There will be no dance off! For this reason they really need out votes. You get 6 votes per account this week.

Katherine and Mark have really been working extremely hard and have danced incredibly. Now let us show them how much we appreciate it.

Just announced by Jackie's dad on her fan club web site that Jackie will be performing as guest singer next week on DWTS. In addition, Jackie just tweeted:

"Very excited to be singing on DWTS for classical week. Hope to see Katherine again.She's so wonderful."

HOW TO VOTE FOR KATHERINE & MARK!

'dofan' has very kindly sent me the following strategies on how to vote for Katherine and Mark. Thank you!:-

The couples dance on Monday nights for a score from the judges. Then the fans vote for their favorite. The judges score counts 50% and the fans 50%. The key to the judges’ score is that they convert it to a percentage. They take all the scores from the judges and add them together. Then that number is divided into the score for the individual couple. That gives the 50% that counts as the judges’ scores. Same thing with the fan vote. All the votes are totalled and that number is divided into the couples fan vote. The lowest combined judges scores and fan scores send a couple home.

There will be three ways to vote:

The first is by phone. We should get Team KMark’s phone number the weekend before the premiere-at the latest that Monday morning. The number will remain the same throughout the competition. Phone lines open as soon as the show starts and stay open for 30 minutes after the show. Fans should be encouraged to phone vote as soon as the show starts. After they dance and at end of the show are the hardest times to get through and we want every single vote. They can vote on as many phones as they have access to. For the first half of the season, voters will be allowed the same number votes as the contestants. For example, the first week there will be twelve contestants, so each type of account gets 12 votes. The third week it will go down to 10. Once they are down to 5 contestants or less, the fans still get 5 votes per account.

ATT users can text their votes. It will be the last four numbers of the team’s phone number. Once again they get the same number of votes as contestants. It is my understanding you can text votes and call votes from the same phone.

The final way is online. Fans go to http://abc.go.com/shows/dancing-with-the-stars/. On show nights there will be a vote tab. You have to have an account to vote online. Fans should make their accounts before the show starts because when the show is going the site crawls. You can vote with as many accounts as you make.

Account suggestions: If you are going to make multiple accounts, pick an easy name such markyfan (sorry already taken) and then add a number. For example, used markyfan01, then markyfan02 and so on. The shorter the name the better. Use the same password for all your accounts. Once you make the account you will have to go to the email you listed and verify the account. Each account must have a separate valid email attached. This will validate your account.

You now have an account valid for voting. On voting night you will click on the voting tab and enter your email address for the account and password and will be allowed to vote.

Now get registered and then on Monday get voting. Katherine and Mark are going to need all the votes we can give them.

Katherine does a lot for us. Now we can show her how much we appreciate her!

Katherine and Mark will no doubt be hoping to recreate their previous success on DWTS when the show returns on Monday night.

But the couple are likely to face strong competition from fellow competitors including Maria Menounos, who is determined to move things up a gear this week with a sizzling Quickstep.
The Extra host, 33, looked in good spirits as she headed to a 'long rehearsal' with her professional partner Derek Hough yesterday.

Menounos also uploaded a humorous video on her website, suggesting Hough is quite the demanding choreographer.
The Utah-native is seen sweaty and out-of-breath as he collapses on a seat, shouting: 'Water!'
