This concert was again repeated yesterday on S4C (1630-1800). Anyone who has missed it,I would highly recommend they take a look at the S4C i-Player in the next 7 days.

One disappointment is that this channel has not repeated the "O'r Brangwyn" concert of Nov 2009 beyond a repeat a few days after its first broadcast.In this concert,Katherine talks to the audience a lot in Welsh.Many songs from her Welsh and non-English repertoire plus "Angel".A lovely occasion.The channel was due to repeat it in May but then dropped it at the last minute for a rugby match.:w00t:

I have contacted S4C (as has another DC member) to suggest a repeat showing.Nothing doing apart from our request being logged for attention of schedulers.I think if other forum members or well-wishers were to do the same,we might be in with a chance of getting a positive result-especially as Katherine is currently topical for them following the success of the Llangollen concert.:)

Hi. I have been to many concerts in the past (mainly rock type) and most recently Bon Jovi in the O2 in London.

This was my first ever Katherine Jenkins Concert I've ever been too. I have always had a soft spot for Katherine True she's georgous has an amazing talent and she's Welsh.

It was when we were traveling down to London going through Llangollen that I caught sight of a sign saying that Katherine will be singing at the Eisteddford, so when we arrived back from our trip to London to see Bon Jovi, We arranged to get tickets to see Katherine. Katherine was sensational with such a beautiful voice truely, amazing and I must say hand on heart I am now completely hooked.

Not very much that I can add to what has already been posted. I have been to one or two Katherine concerts in the last few years :D but I can honestly say that this has to be one of the very best ever!

The venue was superb, in the beautiful town of Llangollen, the weather was kind to us and the concert was simply mind blowing. I am so pleased that I decided to plump for this concert, as it was a real treat.

Many thanks to Katherine for her time afterwards as ever, much appreciated. Good to see plenty of forum members in attendance, for such a wonderful event.

Thanks one and all for your reports.

This was my first visit to Llangollen for the Eisteddfod, and certainly won't be my last. I loved the venue and the atmosphere, both inside and outside of the pavillion.
The stage was near to perfect, being decked out with hundreds of flowers (not good for hayfever sufferers :D), but certainly looked bright and cheerfull.

A beautifully relaxed performance from Katherine, who looked to be in her element to be performing back in Wales again. And so nice to hear some Welsh songs back in the programme.
It was good to hear Cymru Fach performed live, a song that was recorded on Premiere in the early days, and it shows perfectly how much her voice has matured over the years.

The programmes through the summer so far have promised Les Filles de Cadix, but so far it's proved to be elusive!! I was hoping that this would have been the occasion to be able to hear this song. Sadly, it was'nt to be!! It would be nice to hear it performed before the summer concerts conclude though.

Great support from Amaury Vassili (who proved what a great trouper he is, performing in a borrowed wardrobe from the orchestra, as the airline lost his luggage!!!)

Great to meet up with Katherine for the M&G afterwards, a rather more relaxed than some of the previous ones it has to be said, but always nice to have a few words with her.

As ever, nice to spend time with good friends old and new.

Glad you had a good time. Gethin was certainly in demand. There were plenty of ladies getting their photos taken with him during the interval and after the show :)

Even as an Englishman, it was so clear to me how much Katherine was enjoying being back in Wales with a largely Welsh audience. And the Welsh medley was lovely.

Karen - lost for words......make note in diary :w00t: As you say, whether it was being 'home' or just having family & friends around her but I felt this was the most relaxed I can recall seeing her at any m&g

so lovely to have a few of the Welsh songs back

Hi everyone,

My wife and I have followed Katherine for several years now and were pleased when we saw that she was to open the Llangollen Eisteddfod this year. This is an event we help steward every year and so we thrilled to enjoy a wonderful night of Katherine being her absolute best on Monday, maybe it was being home in Wales, maybe because her family were there but whatever it was she gave an outstanding performance of so many numbers. I do think smaller venues add something really special and that for us made Monday night even more memorable.

Hi All,

What a fantastic night! Katherine was absolutely wonderful, she wowed the audience with her vocal aptitude and deserved the standing ovation at the end of the night. Flo and I were bursting with pride to be Welsh!

The M&G was a fantastic way to end the evening. Katherine was her usual chatty self, smiling and laughing as she signed items for us all.

Must admit that having seen the number of guests, sponsors, family & friends that were there, I am very surprised that a meet&greet was possible.

I think we were probably only a third of the way down the queue of forum members at the m&g and at that point Katherine was still her usual chatty self. She even remembered that my mum hadn't been in the best of health at an earlier meeting and took the time to ask her how she was feeling now. She really is very sweet and considerate.

I am sure that Karen, Sally and others who were nearer the back of the queue will report what time the m&g went on until.

One concern we had was that in the second area that we were grouped (m&g members get used to being moved around the venues :)), the area already contained a number of people not connected to the forum who had been partaking of the VIP hospitality and saw this as a chance to gain access to Katherine. Fortunately, security worked out what was happening but I think it may be some that they need to look at more closely. I think one of the disadvantages at the moment is that Alex only knows a handful of members and wouldn't spot an 'outsider' whereas previously it would be more easily spotted as so many of the members would recognise if some were strangers.

A quick update....a browse on the web suggests that last night's concert will be going out on S4C on Sunday 11th July from 20.00 to 21.30

Now all I need is to find someone who has access to S4C (sadly Virgin do not supply it to me).

Hi all

Very surprised to be the first writing a very brief note about this show while I am sat in Birmingham airport.

Firstly, it was another stunning performance from Katherine, sounding and looking beautiful. Katherine had her Mum and various family and friends (including Gethin) in the audience and seemed like she was a touch nervous to start with but she also said she was really excited to be performing back home in Wales.

We were seated awaiting the start of the show when Gethin came and sat in the row in front of us and then we spotted that Katherine's mum was in the row in front of him.

I am sure there will be detailed reports to follow from many of those forum members who were there, it was good to meet some friends old and new both before and after the show. Then we were fortunate enough to join a group of other members at the meet & greet where Katherine was her usual self. The young lady from Warners is so desperately trying to get the m&g more regimented and always tells us that Katherine is in a rush so keep it brief. Fortunately for those of us lucky enough to get the invite to an m&g, Katherine doesn't seem to know she is supposed to be in a rush. She always has time for a chat with everyone, treating us all like old friends and signing more than the 1 item which I are allowed.

She may have changed in terms of her musical development and performance skills in the years since I first met her but that beautiful girl next door is still there ready to talk and pose for pictures.

All in all another fantastic night.

Anyway, got to go, flight's just been called (not that I feel like I need an aircraft to fly to Edinburgh after last night :P
