Hi John
It is hard to work out sometimes what the main purpose of the forum now is . My belief is that it was somewhere that we could hear first hand about Katherine and her activities, and to make friendships , as many of us have done .
It remains an excellent place to share experiences and enjoy friendships, but it would be so helpful if Katherine would write to us all via the forum and explain what she sees as the main purpose of the forum.
However I feel that she won't , and will remain in contact with some of those who use Twitter , and this is where it becomes divisive,as she appears to follow some on Twitter as far as I know , but not others .
My strong feeling is that she is moving on / has moved on from the forum.It a sad thought but the evidence is all around .
To me it was the right time for you to move on, as you must have invested so much constant time and effort in the smooth running of the forum, and there has to be a main focus to it all, and I am not sure that there now is .
I agree with Charlie about the M&G lottery too, well said Charlie.

| John I would just like to echo the many forum members who have posted recently in passing on my thanks for all the work you have done for the forum as moderator in recent years, you were the first person to welcome us with a friendly reply when we joined up which personally was much appreciated, and your were always there to help out with our technical difficulties when we got stuck (often above and beyond the call of duty) I hope you get to enjoy more of your free time and please keep in touch with the forum. Best wishes Carmel

One last thing, My daughter got a First Class Honours degree today so I am mighty chuffed

Hey John.
I haven't been around much due to family matters, but imagine my shock to see this topic.....
I would like to echo all that's been said, you've been an absolute star on the original forum and here, thanks a lot for all your help and information.
Having been a Mod on a few forums, i know that it can become all consuming, especially when the forum is based around a passion of yours, so i understand completely your reasons and say enjoy your real life 
Glad to see you'll still be around though.
