Hi all
Very surprised to be the first writing a very brief note about this show while I am sat in Birmingham airport.
Firstly, it was another stunning performance from Katherine, sounding and looking beautiful. Katherine had her Mum and various family and friends (including Gethin) in the audience and seemed like she was a touch nervous to start with but she also said she was really excited to be performing back home in Wales.
We were seated awaiting the start of the show when Gethin came and sat in the row in front of us and then we spotted that Katherine's mum was in the row in front of him.
I am sure there will be detailed reports to follow from many of those forum members who were there, it was good to meet some friends old and new both before and after the show. Then we were fortunate enough to join a group of other members at the meet & greet where Katherine was her usual self. The young lady from Warners is so desperately trying to get the m&g more regimented and always tells us that Katherine is in a rush so keep it brief. Fortunately for those of us lucky enough to get the invite to an m&g, Katherine doesn't seem to know she is supposed to be in a rush. She always has time for a chat with everyone, treating us all like old friends and signing more than the 1 item which I are allowed.
She may have changed in terms of her musical development and performance skills in the years since I first met her but that beautiful girl next door is still there ready to talk and pose for pictures.
All in all another fantastic night.
Anyway, got to go, flight's just been called (not that I feel like I need an aircraft to fly to Edinburgh after last night

| A quick update....a browse on the web suggests that last night's concert will be going out on S4C on Sunday 11th July from 20.00 to 21.30 Now all I need is to find someone who has access to S4C (sadly Virgin do not supply it to me).

Thanks for the report Keith, nice to hear about how unrushed Katherine is when it comes to meeting her fans. S4C is available on Sky so will be able to watch it :-)

Thanks for the report Keith, nice to hear about how unrushed Katherine is when it comes to meeting her fans.
Must admit that having seen the number of guests, sponsors, family & friends that were there, I am very surprised that a meet&greet was possible. I think we were probably only a third of the way down the queue of forum members at the m&g and at that point Katherine was still her usual chatty self. She even remembered that my mum hadn't been in the best of health at an earlier meeting and took the time to ask her how she was feeling now. She really is very sweet and considerate. I am sure that Karen, Sally and others who were nearer the back of the queue will report what time the m&g went on until. One concern we had was that in the second area that we were grouped (m&g members get used to being moved around the venues  ), the area already contained a number of people not connected to the forum who had been partaking of the VIP hospitality and saw this as a chance to gain access to Katherine. Fortunately, security worked out what was happening but I think it may be some that they need to look at more closely. I think one of the disadvantages at the moment is that Alex only knows a handful of members and wouldn't spot an 'outsider' whereas previously it would be more easily spotted as so many of the members would recognise if some were strangers.

| Hi All, What a fantastic night! Katherine was absolutely wonderful, she wowed the audience with her vocal aptitude and deserved the standing ovation at the end of the night. Flo and I were bursting with pride to be Welsh! The M&G was a fantastic way to end the evening. Katherine was her usual chatty self, smiling and laughing as she signed items for us all. Bern & Flo x
Proud to be Welsh like Katherine!

| Hi everyone, My wife and I have followed Katherine for several years now and were pleased when we saw that she was to open the Llangollen Eisteddfod this year. This is an event we help steward every year and so we thrilled to enjoy a wonderful night of Katherine being her absolute best on Monday, maybe it was being home in Wales, maybe because her family were there but whatever it was she gave an outstanding performance of so many numbers. I do think smaller venues add something really special and that for us made Monday night even more memorable. John and Sandra G
