Hi,
Graham and Len it was great catching up with you again, thank you for the pleasure of your company. Many thanks, Graham, for posting some fantastic photos.
The running order was just the same as what Tony put in his report. The show started off with Mars from The Planets setting the scene for the narrator, Squadron Leader Tom Jones, to tell us how, were it not for the bravery of those Winston Churchill named as The Few, how the course of the war could've turned out very much differently.
We were then treated to, amongst other things, 633 Sqadron, a Glenn Miller selection, the Battle Of Britain March, Thunderbirds and the Band Of Brothers March. Certainly got me tapping away!
And, of course, Hayley.
She sang two sets in two different, but just as beautiful dresses, one black and one red. For me, the highlight was when she sang We'll Meet Again as an encore and invited us to join in which I, for one, did!
We were told before the show started that the use of all photographic equipment was strictly prohibited so I decided not to chance my arm during the first half, just in case. However, when I saw during the interval that someone sitting next to Graham got some great shots then I decided to go for it in the second half. Unfortunately, I did have a bit of a nightmare with the camera but did manage to get some OK shots. Nothing brilliant.
We went after the show to the stage door. We didn't have to wait long for Hayley to turn up. We were at the back of not a very long queue. However, as we got quite close, she had to leave. Taking a bit of a chance, I just went for it and asked if she could sign a photo I took of her at the Classical Brits two years ago, which she very kindly did. I was so fortunate as I think I was one of the last people to get something signed!
Anyway, enough of me. Here are a selection of photos, I hope you enjoy!

Regards,
Jim

Some Hayley information not related to the Battle of Britain anniversary shows.
In addition to coming to Birmingham's Symphony Hall just before Christmas, Hayley is now due to be performing at Glasgow's Royal Concert on Friday 17th December so any of you north of the border, tickets are on sale now. I just hope I am still working in Scotland as I have ordered a ticket and plan to delay my flight south until the Saturday morning so I can also get to Symphony Hall. I'm already looking forward to Christmas
