| The Llangollen concert shown on S4C last night was another disappointment. I gave up after 15 minutes because a lovely voice was being drowned by the orchestra. Don't musical directors and sound engineers understand the terms "soloist" and "accompaniment"? I watched all of Katherine's earlier S4C concert (I think from Castell Coch in February) and that had the same problem, together with almost continuously changing camera angles and (horror!) was she miming or was it just bad synchronisation? It amounts to an insult to Katherine and her fans. Listen to "Gretchen am Spinnrade" by Barbara Bonney (the "accompaniment" is far too strong) then try Kathleen Ferrier's recording with Phyllis Spurr to hear how it should be done. Katherine deserves the latter treatment.

I really enjoyed the Llangollen concert, but did anyone else notice the TV company's blunder.
Their caption credited Whitney Houston as being the composer of L'Amore Sei Tu (I Will Always Love You) whereas, in fact, it was Dolly Parton.

The same mistake with L'Amore Sei Tu was printed in the event programmes for Llangollen and Cheltenham, so I expect the information came from a common source.
For those that missed the broadcast or want to see it again, it can be streamed from the S4C web site. http://www.s4c.co.uk/clic/c_level2.shtml?series_id=402097679

After being at Wigan last week it was good to see this concert at Llangollen, which was almost the same apart from the Welsh songs. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I must be honest there is nothing like seeing Katherine live. The purity and quality of her voice is so much better live. I was also dissapointed that Katherine's speaking between songs was not shown. Katherine's lovely warm personality shines through when she talks to the audience.

| Just watching this recording on my Humax PVR and I have to say the audio quality is appalling, it sounds like a low quality MP3 file. I'll try recording the repeat on my other PVR (Thomson) to check whether it's bad broadcasting or my equipment.
