I have to be honest I'm not a big Dr Who fan, but I shall certainly be watching this one.

| Gosh! This isn't the opera news I was expecting either Doctor Who is popular world wide though and there are healthy DVD sales. Kylie starred in a DW Christmas special a couple of years ago and she is #1 this week so it shouldn't hurt KJ's career.

| Great news I have been a fan of Dr Who since William Hartnell (the first) but it did go through a difficult period until David Tennant. Matt Smith is the new young Doctor and to have Katherine in the show is wonderful news. I shall certainly be watching at Christmas. Thank you Katherine - may your career continue to grow from strength to strength with Dr Who , Popstar to Operastar and everything inbetween. Regards Steven

| Hello This sounds a good move.I foresee quite a bit of publicity in advance for this special-and that should include KJ's role too.Perhaps some TV/radio interviews nearer the time??Here's hoping. I imagine it could bring Katherine to her biggest ever TV audience in this country.I used to be an avid fan of "Dr.Who" but it wore off after Jon Pertwee left the role (cica 1975?) Help, showing my age again! I imagine I will want to know everything about this Xmas special however! Ian PS.Thanks for the clip Karen."First acting role" says the voiceover.BBC said same.I think not.Clearly they have not read her autobiography in which she mentions an admittedly silent role in a US film nor her cameo appearance in "Emmerdale" in 2007.Got to play herself and sing in the latter as she opened a fete in the prog.

| Ian _ I would not call the two illustrations given "acting" - but both maybe gave Katherine a feel for the business
