Hi Graham,

You are absolutely correct - I keep forgetting about the rules on qualifying for the Classic FM chart.

Hi Pam

I am sure Believe will do very well, as Rejoice did 2 years ago when it hit the mainstream chart.  I agree with you, it is great to see Nicola Benedetti back in the charts, she is a very talented lady!

All the best
Graham

Hi Graham
Thanks for the chart and a little disappointing placings this week. Did wonder whether Believe would make the Classics Chart when it is released as Katherine has said this new album would be more crossover, interesting to see what position it makes in the National Chart.

Many thanks for the update Sir Graham, not a good week, but I expect things will pick up when Believe is released, as said by others.

It is to be expected that after 6 years now? Katherine's album sales will decline, at least until the new ones appear. Also the Arena tour next March may improve things, ticket sales will be high no doubt, but by people who have bought her albums already and hopefully they will introduce friends to come along and see what they have been missing! So then sales will increase somewhat, but as much as we would all like to see her albums continue in the charts, it cannot last for ever.
Katherine has had a spectacularly excellent run in the charts, there is no cause for complaint on that score, and she has huge audiences particularly at the summer concerts, but album sales do have a limit, at least until the next generation!

Russell.

Well said Russell and absolutely correct. With all the pre release publicity for Katherines new cd there will be an increase in sales of all previous releases. The new cd may not be eligible for the classic fm chart but watch them all reappear. WHAT BETTER CHRISTMAS PRESENT. TONY P
