Dear All,
Well folks, after a bit of a struggle and some help from admin, I'v now been able to register and log in. I hope you didn't think I had abandoned you - now would I?
Also apologies for not keeping this thread up to date, but things have been hectic and somewhat traumatic this last few weeks. Other than spending most of the last month working abroard, and doing a couple of Proms in between, my brother and I had the unpleasent task of putting our dear Mum in a nursing home. At age 90 she is now suffering from a rapid onset of Altzeimers, is unable to walk, speak or even feed herself and needs 24 hour nursing care.
I am now on tour in Japan until October 4th, and having aquired a netbook I am pleased to say I can keep in touch wherever I am, so there's no stopping me now! The RPO office are sending my October schedule to me by email so hopefully in the next day of two I will be able to keep you informed as to what I'm up to, I know many of you are interested to read this. And of course it is always such a pleasue to see forum members at some of the concerts, I believe Sue and Oliver are coming to Birmingham on November 2nd. to hear Renee Fleming.
I have answered a couple of PMs on the previous forum, please check it.

Best wishes to you all

Russell.

Hi Russell

It's great to hear from you again, i knew you hadn't deserted us.

So sorry to hear about your Mum, it is the same path that i am unfortunately travelling down, so i can identify strongly with all that is involved.

That is one schedule you have ahead of you.

Perhaps time for a few days off in November???

With regards

Tony

Hi Russell,

So very nice to see that you have arrived on the new forum. Many thanks for the concert update, it's good to see you are on your travels again!!
Very sad news about your mum, I'm so very sorry.

I'm envious of you being in Japan, a country I would dearly love to visit someday. Enjoy your time there.

All the Best,

Gary
